I have stayed at Signal Mountain Lodge several times, but for our next trip we would like to consider some alternatives. We would like a small lodge which is relatively isolated, on the upscale rather than rustic side, has cabins with full kitchens and views. Jenny Lake Lodge does look perfect except the price point is outside our range. Any other suggestions?
Thank you.

Jackson Lake Lodge? An icon national park lodge. It's been quite a few years but we stayed in the cottages and were totally enamored with the lodge and the adjacent grounds and cottages. Watching the sunset from the grand lodge massive windows is amazing!
Thank you for the suggestion. I am looking for something a little smaller, more on the scale of Signal Mountain or smaller.
ttt
one last try.........
still looking
I'm not sure what you are looking for exists, unfortunately. Budge's Slide Lake Cabins fit a few of your parameters, but not all: http://www.jacksonholecabins.com/
I would not consider these upscale, for one.
The Rustic Inn fits the upscale and cabin parameters (though I don't think they have full kitchens) but is certainly not isolated as it is 4 blocks from Jackson's Town Square right on the highway. But if you got a cabin on the creek, it would be more peaceful: http://www.rusticinnatjh.com/
Good luck with your search and report back where you decide to stay!
Caze, I suspect you are right, I am looking for something which doesn't exist. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and I will check out your suggestions.
cmcfong -- have you thought to check out VRBOs?
Good suggestion, Jill. I have but did not find anything which seemed right for my group.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi cmc,
I was also going to suggest vrbo. I've looked there several time for myself, but most of the properties are HUGE and unafforable for a single person!
There was one guesthouse on an estate property at Jackson Hole ski resort. It was absolutely gorgeous and in the afforable rage, done in a chalet style. I don't remember how many bedrooms however. Probably not enough for your group, I know it didn't have more than 2.
Have you considered the other side of the Tetons? Island Lake, Hayden Lake? Driggs, ID?
Grand Targhee?
I hadn't thought of that, Dayle. Thank you so much. I will expand the search and see what I can turn up. My group loves hiking in the Tetons, but we are ready to change our base.
Of course, I continue to explore taking the group to Park City. I loved that trip.
cmcfong - how many is in the group?
Jill, it is four couples and we want to rent either a large house or individual cabins. We need four bedrooms with queen or king beds and en suite bathrooms (this is a tricky requirement, but non negotiable). We do a week long hiking trip every other year and I am already on the hunt for our next trip in 2014. No one can ever fault me for being a procrastinator.
cmc,
You really can't find a large property around Jackson/Wilson in your price range? There are so many to choose from. But, the other side of the Tetons is much less $$ and has some very nice places from what I've seen in my searching for vacation properties.
Now you're going to make me start looking just out of curiosity!
Price hasn't been much of an issue, Dayle. The big challenge is en suite four bedrooms. We aren't really interested in being in Jackson or Teton Village so I am looking at all the options.
Here's three i found on VRBO that might work. May not be remote enough, but it's worth a try.

This home offers 4 bedrooms, each with flat screen TV. and private bathroom.
Just after I linked this, I found that it said “month long” rentals; but perhaps you could work your charm and they’d do a week just for you!

cmc,
Sorry I must have read your requirements wrong. Jill did a fabulous job of find two gorgeous properties. The third one is probably in the better location. The second one looks to be south of the airport. Both might work for 4 couples.
I once stayed at a lodge type property in the river bottom area south of the airport. It was very nice and only had minimal, occasional jet noise.
Here ya go! It's a five bedroom with en suite baths - http://www.fourseasons.com/jacksonhole/accommodations/private_residences/five_bedroom_penthouse_resort_residence/
Thank you so much for the suggestions, I have marked all of them for "under consideration". This year we went to Telluride and took the penthouse suite at the Hotel Luminere. It was absolutely fabulous and the cost was unbelievably low. Because they really do have an off season in August (one of the couples has school age children so we aren't able to go a little later in the fall). I negotiated a rate of about $500 per person for the week. Don't think I can swing that at the Four Seasons, but no harm in giving it a shot.
Thank you so much for you help!
