It's actually on Aquidneck Avenue, in Middletown, R.I. a short drive from Newport. We went their last week and didn't really get to order much of the good stuff because we arrived at 8:00 as they were closing. They did allow us to come in but the food wasn't the pow that we thought it would be. I hope to go back again another trip and plan to get their early.
It was also featured on the show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. The people who work there are the nicest!! They said the show actually closed down the restaurant and allowed them to open for their regular customers only. How cool would that be.

A dozen years ago my DH had regular business in Providence and Newport and the guy he was working with always took him to Anthony's. The times I went with him we had the same thing - one lobster, one order of fried oysters and one order of stuffies (the spicy ones!). Good, cheap and super casual.
Anthony's seems like the kind of place DD&D's would gravitate toward -- hadn't thought of it in years and for some reason thought it had closed. Good to hear otherwise.
