We are looking for a hotel in the Baltimore/DC area that is more like converted apartments - at least two bedrooms and 3 beds. I am already looking into the chain hotels, but was wondering if there are any local options that I might miss and should consider?
Thank you!

In DC, I can think of Embassy Suites (several central locations and one or two suburban as well) and Carlyle Suites on NH Ave near Dupont Circle.
Marriott has some of those, I think they call them Residence. Most of the ones I know are major brands (Washington Suites is local like Carlyle, I guess). But most don't have 2 BRs, the ones I know of are more for people on business who need to stay a while and have only 1 BR or studios.
Washington Suites has some 2 BRs, but they aren't that great. http://www.washingtonsuitesalexandria.com/
Avenue Suites in Georgetown isn't too expensive but I don't think they have 2 BRs http://www.avenuesuites.com/
In Baltimore there are two Tremont properties. We stayed in one that had 2 bdrms, 2 baths, and a kitchen.
