I lived in Vermont for 20+ years and will be going back in a few days for a short visit. I'm looking at the restaurants in the Burlington area and they don't seem to be of the quality that I remember from the 70's and 80's. I know the Ice House and Paulines are still there - but are there any new "fine" didning options?
Right now I'm thinking of the Basin Harbor since I will be driving up from Middlebury.
My other option is someplace with fried whole belly clams and good homemade ice cream....
Thanks in advance!

Try Starry Night Cafe in Ferrisburgh. Its between Basin Harbor and Burlington. Its fantastic. You'll need a reservation.

No need to go all the way to Burlington for good food!
Thanks - I'm thinking the Black Sheep Bistro looks good. I'll check out the Ferrisburgh on, too! Grazie, bm!
