My wife and I are taking our 2 year son to the Cass Scenic Railroad. He love this train from seeing it on youtube. we will be driving there from Cleveland Ohio and will be staying in a company house located in Cass. I am fully aware that this is a remote part of the country but I was wondering if anyone had any recomendatons for family activities either on the way from Cleveland or within an hour or two from Cass. Any type of family park, fun kid restaurant or shopping? thanks..

If you are traveling I-77 through Dover Ohio, you may want to stop at the Warther wood carving museum. http://www.warthers.com/
I did see some wood train whistles in the gift shop if you can stand the annoyance of a 2 year old with a whistle.
