My daughter will be flying into Des Moines to visit a friend for a few days in Council Bluffs that is in college. Problem is friend can not come to the airport to pick her up when we can get a flight in. I don;t want her sitting in the airport for 5 hours until her friend could get there. I was hoping to find a private car/driver that I could hire to pick her up at airport and take her to Council Bluffs *about 2 hours*. Thanks for any help.
Does anyone know of a driver with car for private hire in Des Moines?

Well, I've got a 93 year old brother-in-law I could ask. Actually though he doesn't drive a car, in fact never has, just walks alot. Heh, heh.
Anyway why wouldn't you just engage a taxieven though it will be costly. Sometimes you just gotta pay. Of course your friend might enjoy reading a book for five hours.
Sorry no help.

I don't have any suggestion for cars, but can you change the flight to Omaha since that is basically right there by Council Bluff?

Check the college web site for transportation options to it from the airport.
Omaha is your best choice for an airport. Depending on where she is coming from, The Amtrak California Zephyr to Omaha is another choice. The train comes into Omaha either late at night or early in the morning. 6 miles is lots better than 100+ miles.
