I am about to embark on an exciting road trip to pick up my dream car.....a 1971 Super Beetle! This saturdayI will fly to Utah--where Clementine (thats her name)--is located. And then I will head out on the long cross country trip back to Florida; it's all part of the Dream!
I will be taking the immediate southern route, via Vegas and across Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and finally, Florida.
A girlfriend will fly out to meet in Vegas so I will have a travel companion. It's Thelma and Louise, baby!!
Can't wait!!

A 1971 Super Beetle is your dream car? We had one, and drove it all over the West, back in the day. Grandpa still has it in storage.
But its heater really didn't work great. The blower seemed to be connected to the accelerator, so you had to be moving to get heat. I suggest you bring warm clothes!
Lol! Yes I will have sweaters and such. This gem has been in our family since it was 'born', and has been driven and cared for in such a way that it is running like a dream! I wish I could post pics, cuz it's a beauty!!
