What are you looking for? Just a place to sleep for a few hours?
Want to stay overnite and have a sightseeing experience an interesting place to stop is Rocky Mt good
Rocky Mount is fine but there's not a lot to do. I95 was built to bypass major cities. In order to enjoy sight seeing you'll likely have to get off the highway. Are you interested in NC history? Military history? A Mexican themed tourist area?
You could come over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and stay in Norfolk. This avoids Baltimore and Washington DC.
Norfolk is 320 miles from Allentown. I prefer Delmarva to driving the beltway anytime.
