I am looking for a pleasant restaurant for an early brunch or lunch on Sunday .
Staying at the Capitol Hill hotel we have to be at the Kennedy Center by 1pm most like using the Metro .
Last trip had lunch at the Center but was disappointed.

I agree with many of the above suggestion in the thread linked above -- particularly the Tabard Inn and Georgia Brown's. Their brunches are well known in DC.
Specifically for you all I would add to the list Circa at Foggy Bottom. Very good food and it is located across the street from the Foggy Bottom metro station which is where the free shuttle to the Kennedy Center picks up and drops off.
