For an environmentally friendly, romantic, and fun trip, we tried sailing in the Newport, RI area.
There is a wonderful small company, "Sakonnet Charters" that specializes in fully custom charter sailing aboard Hinckley sailing yachts.
This is not sailing where you are one of 50 people on the boat- it is for couples and small groups. All of the charters offer full gourmet meals, and everything is tailored to your taste! They do charters from 4 hours to a week or more, and at reasonable rates.
You have a captain and a chef/crew at your service. The food is incredible- organic, fresh and local, and better than many 5 star restuarants I have been to. Leea could teach some executive chefs a thing or two!
Captain Robert and Chef/crew Leea (brother-sister team) are friendly and know how to ensure a good time for all.
Truly a wonderful adventure! Highly recommended!

Sorry~soounds like an ad to me.
Sorry it looks like an ad! But they were that wonderful, and I don't mind helping out the small businesses like this.
They need our help more than the big cruise conglomerates!
