Well If/when you are downtown, a visit to the African Burial Ground - a FREE National Monument is well worth the time spent. They opened a new part of the visitor center since my last visit. It is excellent. And, it is another part of the NY Immigration story.
If you are up for a visit to another century in Brooklyn then head to Weeksville. (Except for school groups) I was educator Nia's first visitor from the 5 bork Black History tour. If you can't visit this month, show up soon or in the summer when the new visitor center opens.
A couple of years ago the NY Historical Society had a great exhibit on the Seneca Village in Central Park - don't know if it will ever be restaged - but it was fascinating.
More details of recent visits.

Queens and not the Bronx http://thestarryeye.typepad.com/explorenyc/2013/02/black-history-month-tour-2013-so-far-2-queens-and-not-bronx-1.html
And, if you want a short trip out of Manhattan to a great place with skyline views, fun movie theater, great movie and good food in the neighborhood, head to Loew's Jersey

(I probably won't be there...)
So is anyone doing International tourist guide day on Thursday? I am off to the Jazz Museum in Harlem tomorrow night.
Me again - talking to myself - no takers for the Jazz Museum so I am still going but will go directly from the UES
