We get off of our Eastern Caribbean Cruise in February at the Miami Cruise Port and we will have half a day to do something in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.
We are flying out of Ft. Lauderdale the following morning. After spending time in the Caribbean I don't know if South Beach would be much different than places we will be visiting? Not sure how to spend our limited time but we want to make the most of it! Any ideas what we could do? We are two adults two teen boys and we have not planed how to get back to Ft. Lauderdale from the Miami Cruise Port. We could rent a car or use SAS depending on what we do once we get out of the Miami Port.
We did do a little Everglade tour on a air boat a couple years ago that we booked through Carnival and it was O.K
Half day to spend in Miami or Ft Lauderdale after cruise

South Beach doesn't seem much like anywhere else as far as my travel experiences go. I think it's worth spending half a day there since you haven't been already. While I haven't travelled in the Caribbean, South Beach feels nothing like the Bahamas to me. SoBe as it's called has a unique cosmopolitan blend to my eye of United States, Latin and Caribbean, with some European tourists to boot. Worth experiencing just for the energy of it.
Ideas of what to do beyond general exploring the main drags(Lincoln Road, checking out the Art Deco Architecture)? Maybe rent a bike and cycle on the path nearby the beach if you get a nice day?
