Hawaii's Quarantine Extended

Governor Ige just announced that the mandatory 14-day quarantine for anyone arriving in Hawaii (including returning residents) will be extended through the end of August.

The economy is being devastated, but with only (9) ICU beds on Kauai (where I live) they have to be exceptionally careful to not overwhelm the healthcare system. I wish I had an answer.

Sadness all around, but I think the governor had to do this. The onslaught of tourists would be devastating.

Smart move. I read about it yesterday on Trip Advisor. Some hotels are using the time to do work (Halekulani on Oahu just announced they are closed for remodeling thru spring of next year).

I believe the road to Hana re-opened yesterday.
Now, you just need to get too Maui. ;-)
