I recently stayed at the Pines and Palms and was very pleased with the property, location and the very helpful staff. A very popular hot spot to stay is the Cheeca Lodge, but I prefer a quieter place, not a party atmosphere. Many people will recommend Cheeca as a #1 choice. Take a look at Tripadvisor for some reviews. And, try a meal at Mama's Fish camp, yummmmmy

The Hampton Inn is a lot nicer than other Hampton Inns, at least it was the last time I stayed there. Or you could stay at a resort, but probably not for two nights.
Thanks so much for your input. As far as location goes are these properties within walking distance to restaurants..etc?
Our plans have changed a bit. We have decided to stay 1 night in Islamorada and then head to Key West. We will arrive in Islamorada around 2pm..Hampton Inn will take a 1 night reservation, is there a good restaurant/bar close by? Or should we head closer to Key West to stay. I am open to something for 1 night that has a great place to hang out at with good food and drinks. Thanks!
