Will be attending son's Army Basic Training graduation at Fort Sill in Lawton, OK and want to take him and family to a special restaurant. Any recommendations for good, casual steakhouse, Mexican restaurant or other non-chain restaurant? Are there any attractions or tourist sites in the area? Thanks. Cmac3

Can't help you with food, we just stopped for the night at the Best Western there and had room service (which was actually quite good). But right outside Lawton is the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. A definite must see. The view from the top of Mt Scott (you can drive up) is spectacular. The Wichita Mtns in one direction and the plains stretching to the horizon in the other.
Thanks. We'll go to the refuge!
