We're making a group trip in late june to the denver area (flying in & out of denver). looking for a good choice for hiking & outdoor adventures, which will also be toddler friendly. There will be a 3 year old & a 15 month old with us (they can both be worn in carriers for hiking).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We all live in cities, so don't want to stay in Denver itself, but to get out a little more into nature.
Long weekend in the Denver area

You could go up to RMNP easily. Or go to Boulder and do some hikes there.
I like Chautauqua Park in Boulder:

You can also drive up into the foothills on the same road by continuing past Chautauqua Park. About 3-4 min up the road is an overlook area with picnic tables - nice overlook of Boulder.
You can also look for a book on Amazon called 'Best Hikes with Children in Colorado'. We got this soon after we moved here 9 years ago when our children were 4 and 6. We've done a dozen or so hikes from the book over the years and I find their ratings to be pretty accurate in terms of difficulty.
Depending on interests and schedules, catch a MLB Colorado Rockies game at Coors field - great place to catch a game with mountain views. Especially evening games with the sun setting over the mountains.
You should review the responses under Denver and Breckenridge in June with young children.
Or http://www.fodors.com/community/united-states/denver-and-breckenridge-in-june-with-young-children.cfm.
The Summitt Cty area - Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone would be good areas to serve as a base.
