Appears that hotel will be opened and reservations honored for this weekend, but there is no parking at the hotel. Website lists a few nearby garages. Can you park on the street? What is a recommendation for parking?

You can't really park on most of those streets so I can't really recommend that as an option. The Ritz Carlton is, for example, closed until Nov. 9. I'd really recommend finding a garage in Midtown and taking the subway or a cab down there. Most of the parking garages in the Wall Street area were flooded and may or may not be open. It's hard to say, but the Holland Tunnel reopened, though the 9/11 Memorial site is still closed and still flooded below ground. You might find an open garage in the Tribeca area or perhaps around Chinatown, which would be more convenient to that particular hotel. But the flooding down on the west side of Lower Manhattan was pretty bad. The Brooklyn-Battery tunnel and the FDR drive are both still closed from flooding.
There's a garage in the building where Whole Foods is on Houston; the store is open, but I don't know if the garage is. It's within striking distance by cab of the hotel but a very congested area.
The Andaz is on Water and Wall. That area has been hit especially hard. There are a few open air parking lots just north and east of Water Street. And there is an undeground lot just one blcok north of the hotel but I have not been there to survey the damage.
You cannot park on the streets under the best of conditions.
Check the open-air lots first before heading elsewhere.
Thank you. We are back from our trip. The Andaz was opened and very accomodating. The area around it devastated. It was very sad. we were able to park in the lot next to the hotel and it was only $34.00 per day, which I thought was a bargain under the circumstances.
