Hi - I am traveling to the Portland / Yarmouth Maine area in late October for the first time. I'm trying to find information on hiking trails that are within 30 minutes of that area and will give me the most spectacular views of the coast. I really would like to see those classic rocky coastlines. Any suggestions?

In yarmouth, you will be quite close to Wolf's Neck Woods State Park in Freeport which offers a variety of hiking trails with fantastic views.

While it has more walking than hiking, another popular beautiful view/photography option is Portland Head Light at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. http://www.portlandheadlight.com/
Grandmommy, thanks for posting! Always looking for a new spot. Hopefully we'll be able to stop for a hike there on our way to Acadia in September.

thank you for posting! i'll definitely look into both
Get out to Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth for some great views. It's about a 25 min drive from Portland. And if you have time, visit the Sebago Lakes region...beautiful.
