Here are a few
Four Seasons in Las Colinas
Gaylord in Grapevine (don't know if this is "upscale")
Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose (wouldn't call this a "resort")

I'd choose the Gaylord in Grapevine.
We went to the Gaylord (in Grapevine) over Memorial Day weekend.
I don't think we'll return...it just wasn't for us. I wouldn't consider it upscale or relaxing.
I don't know much about it, but there is a Doral near Ft. Worth.
Rough Creek and Four Seasons - definately upscale and relaxing.
Ditto Four Seasons. Pretty pool area, nice spa. Haven't been to Rough Creek, but heard good things about it. Rustic, but luxurious is what I've heard.
Mansion at Turtle Creek? Does it have to be an hour away or just within the hour radius?
Mansion is a wonderful small hotel, but not a resort.
Rough Creek Lodge is a great place. Incredible food and the setting is very interesting. You can go check out the very quiet town of Glen Rose or check out the far more "exciting" town of Granbury.
I've never been to the Gaylord. But does a weekend in Grapevine really sound like fun?
