Heading to South Beach for a few days next Tuesday. We will be staying at the Loews. Restaurant recommendations within walking distance or a short cab ride away would be welcomed, particularly for a Cuban restaurant. I did some research and came across Havana 1957, Chalan on the Beach , Indomania, Cafe Prima Pasta and Preston's (which is in the Loews). We only have two dinners and one of them is Thanksgiving. Any opinions about the restaurants listed or some alternatives? Thanks!

Thank you!
I'm not a huge fan of Prima Pasta and its not a short cab ride from the Loews.
For Thanksgiving I'd say to see what Joes is serving (http://www.joesstonecrab.com/)
or possibly Symchas

For a fun burger try ....

Folks love Yardbird, Pubbelly, Barceloneta
Google them to see if you like menus.
thanks for the tips.
We just returned from Miami/MB. We had two outstanding meals. Nothing seemed very far from each other. One is Michael's about a 10-15 minute ride from Loews.

the other was Michy's http://michysmiami.com Probably too far - maybe 20-25 minutes away.
Have fun!
Ended up eating at Havana 1957 and Grill Fish. Both were quite good. The fried pork at Havana was crazy good.
