Considering a trip to the park in June. If you wanted to stay at Grand Lake, and Trail Ridge Road is closed, what is the alternate route to get over there? Thanks in advance.

If coming from Denver, you'd take I70W to 40, and north over Berthoud Pass, through Winter park, and go east on 34 past Granby.
If you were coming from the north, hwy 14 (along the Poudre) to 125 south (if open) to Granby, or 14 to Steamboat Springs, and south on 40.
But if there's enough snow to close Trail Ridge, be sure to keep up on any closures on other high country passes (like Rabbit Ears on 40); Berthoud is usually good to go, though.
