We thought we might be going to New Orleans in March, but it looks like it will be too expensive.
So, our venue might change to San Antonio.
For those who have been there, what budget-friendly hotel/motel would you recommend? We will have a car, so it can be 15 to 20 miles from everything.
When recommending hotels/motels, please consider safety as one of the most important factors.

Any of the major chain hotels are fine. I've stayed at a LaQuinta by the airport twice now, and I had no complaints.
What do you mean by budget friendly?
