Hi all,
My husband and I are going to Kauai for 2 weeks in Feb. We're from Toronto. We have been to the islands a few times, but this is our first trip to Kauai.
This might sound like an unimportant question, but I'm curious to know if I can purchase higher end cosmetics in Kauai? These products are very expensive in Canada, so with our dollar at par (or better) I'm hoping I can stock up on some of my favorite cosmetics while I'm in the U.S.
I would also like to know opinions on the best Hawaii skincare products I can guy there, such as body lotion, hand lotion etc.
Thank you for your help - it's much appreciated.

There is a Macy's store in the big Kukui Grove Shopping Center which will have major cosmetics branches.

Personally, I love the lotions and oils from Malie.com The Koke'e Collection is my favorite- fresh and green like the air in Hanalei. http://malie.com/shop/
Gotcha Covered moisturizing lotion is really nice http://www.gotchacoveredkauai.com/w_save-a-tan.html
Thank you for the responses. I will check out the Kukui Grove for sure as well as the skincare lines mentioned.
Aloha!
I like Island Soap and Candle Works. I think they are based out of Oahu but sell their products all over the islands. I love the Pikake (sort of like a tropical gardenia/jasmine) scented items including body wash and lotions.
Also, Bubble Shack Hawaii has nice lotions. Once again, the Pikake scent is my favorite.
I buy a few bottles of the above lotions to take home with me (new york) and I am instantly transported to the islands when I smell the sweet pikake scent...aaah.
Does anyone know if I can buy quilts on Kauai? If so, where?
There were a few places on Maui, but unfortunately I didn't buy one last year, so I would like to look for one while in Kauai?
Kapaia Stitchery in Kapa'a gets good reviews, sells quilts and unique fabrics and also has classes.
I believe Kapaia Stitchery only has the one shop in Lihue.
