Are either one of these worth the side trip during our drive through the Idaho area?
Dunes: We would not be going to do any off-roading, only to walk the dunes and take in any scenic views. Are discs rented for sliding the dunes?

Where are you driving to/from? We just drove from SLC to Yellowstone and found the Museum of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls to be a great break!!!
We are making our way from SLC to Yellowstone. We will be going through Idaho and staying overnight in Rexburg before heading on. I have been trying to find people that have been to the Dunes outside of St. Anthony or the Hells Half Acre to see if they are worth the visit.
Let me know anything else you did out there or any suggestions/tips. We are leaving Wednesday (8/10) morning.
Not many people replied to this post but just in case anyone is also looking for info. We did not go to either place. The two ladies at the hotel in Rexburg said that the dunes were not all that and if we had to choose between doing Mesa Falls and the dunes, to do the falls. while driving, totally forgot about the acres.
Mesa Falls was totally worth it.
