Looking for the flavor of St. Patrick's Day... some music, some beer, some chow. But not too crazy and too touristy. Staying at the Marriott Marquis, Times Square. I'll be on the early side of partying, getting in the city about 4pm. Any suggestions for good pubs within walking distance or short cab ride?

I believe the big party was today, because that's when they held the parade. (I left town to avoid it.)
If so, count yourself lucky to have missed the charming sight of a drunken city, the flower of our youth puking in the gutters, pissing in public, falling down and of, course, slugging it out. Bad scene, major.
