We are getting ready to drive to Yellowstone using the Beartooth Highway (coming from the east starting at Red Lodge). We have a 24 ft RV. We have never been out this way. Looking for any advice or tips for the drive (Beartooth Hwy). Going end of July.

We drove it about 10 days ago. We left from Yellowstone and ended up in Red Lodge. It snowed, sleeted and hailed on us and the temps dropped to 34 degrees. It was a beautiful drive but a nerve-racking drive in that weather. The lakes were still frozen at the top and the snow was very deep. Road conditions were excellent though. Wishing a good weather day for you. It snowed on us in Glacier on July 4th one year as we did the Going to the Sun road, but was gorgeous last week when we did that drive. Ya never know...
Enjoy!

It is a lovely road but I was in a car.
If you are an experienced RV pilot then
you should be OK...just make sure your
brakes are in good repair.
