Overview
Interiors are a blend of art deco and art nouveau themes as well as the authentic Italian designs for which other MSC Cruises ships are known. In addition to its soothing Zen garden and Oriental music, the Sushi Bar is a bonus to the dining experience.
Restaurants
Two formal restaurants serve open-seating breakfast and lunch; dinner is served in two traditional assigned seatings. Il Giardino, the à la carte restaurant, requires reservations and carries an additional charge. Reservations are not required for the Sushi Bar, which serves extra-charge sushi and other Asian foods. The buffet is a casual dining option. There is a nominal charge for room service.
Accommodations
A whopping 80% of staterooms have an ocean view, and 65% have balconies. Decorated in jewel-toned colors, all are comfortable, yet somewhat smaller than the cabins in most new ships by today's standards. Suites have broadband connections that allow passengers to use their personal laptop computers, a tub in the bathroom, plenty of storage space, and a sitting area. All accommodation categories have a vanity-desk, TV, adequate closet and storage space, a small refrigerator, and a hair dryer. Other than in suites, sitting areas are on the small side, with only an easy chair in inside cabins. Bathrooms are supplied with basic toiletries. Seventeen cabins are wheelchair-accessible.
