Presented By
Ocean Village Two

Famed Italian architect Renzo Piano designed this ship for Princess Cruises. Originally christened Crown Princess; when she was launched in 1990 the Crown Princess was the flagship of the Princess fleet and one of the largest cruise ships at sea. Later renamed AIDAblu, she sailed for A'Rosa Cruises, which were marketed in Germany. The ship was re-christened Ocean Village Two in 2006. The unusual profile is capped by a "dome" forward on the top deck that has been likened to a dolphin's silhouette. This "dome," where Princess housed a massive casino and entertainment complex, was redesigned for European service, and the area is now home to a huge spa, fitness center, and teen area.

Balconies increase personal space with outdoor chairs and a table and fresh ocean air, but don't assume they are all created equal. On Deck 10 the balconies are solid steel beneath the railing -- not only is the view obstructed by solid metal when you are seated, but in a tropical climate, the area can quickly begin to make you feel as if you are sitting in a crock pot when the ship isn't moving.
