To offer peace of mind for parents, children's play areas are netted for safety, as are private balconies.

With buffet dining offered around the clock, no set meal times, no dress code, and no assigned tables, you can tailor your cruise vacation to your preferred schedule, not someone else's.

When you book online, Ocean Village offers a savings of 5% in addition to the best possible discounted fare.

This small division of the Carnival Corporation is about as hip as a cruise line can get and still be a cruise line. Headquartered and marketed in the UK, the line's motto promises to be "the cruise for people who don't do cruises." Quite simply, Ocean Village cruises are flexible and relatively unstructured, although the company does follow the typical British holiday scheme of being a total package deal, if that's what you desire.

Choose If ...

An unconventional cruise appeals to your inner non-conformist and comment cards with choices such as "fab" or "yuck!" tickle your funny bone.

Evening childcare is an absolutely necessity -- babysitting is complimentary from 6 pm until midnight and available (for an hourly charge) until 3 am.

You're most comfortable with knowing everything is taken care of for you in an entire package vacation, including the cruise and airfare.

Don't Choose If ...

Dining mostly at buffets leaves you cold. There is an extra charge for sit-down restaurants with waiter service.

You are extremely traditional and look forward to dressing to the nines for the formal events usually associated with a cruise.

You are class-conscious. Trendy Ocean Village cruises are definitely British, but very modern in style, appealing to a wide cross-section of passengers.
