That's a long title, but I put my pictures in photobucket, which is great, but you have to personally invite people to view them. Is there a site that's free that you recommend? I plan on posting lots of my Switzerland pictures in a few weeks.

What do you mean by "you have to personally invite people to view them" on photobucket? I have photos there, and I didn't have to invite people to view them (other than simply telling them that's where the photos are).

I use Photobucket. You can just post the Photobucket link where your photos are and everyone can view them for free without personally being inviting.

Another alternative: Most ISPs provide a limited amount of free webspace. I have created pages with my photos (very easy to do) and sent the link to friends.

okay, I see now how to do that. Before, I was opening my album and there was a button that said "Invite a guest" I guess I can just open album and copy the link, right? Thanks!

I don't know how photobucket works, but on Ofoto (now Kodakgallery) you can send yourself an invitation, then follow the link and when you get to your album THAT is the link you copy for people to access. Then they don't have to go through the sign in and all that nonsense.

Yes. Or you can just tell people your user name, and when they go to photobucket they can search for that name and your albums will pop up. That's probably the easiest way to do it if you're just talking to someone, but providing them a link is easier if done via e-mail.

Webshots.com is another free site. Free stuff is limited to about 10 albums of 24 pix each, but it's a nice site.

Get a yahoo user ID, and you can also post photos there.
