One Day Cooking Class

My husband and I are going to Tuscany in late May. We are interested in taking a one day cooking class. I have found a lot of info about week-long cooking vacations, but not about a day class. We are real foodies looking for a challenge.
Thanks for any advice!

Try the Villa Belvedere at villabelvedere.com. Just outside San Giminiano. Great place.

I have no personal experience with this, but would love to do it sometime and have looked into it a bit. Here are some links that you might find helpful:

http://www.theinternationalkitchen.com/lesson.htm

http://www.eccolacucina.com/onedayclass.html

http://www.vinaio.com/code/groupcuisine.html

http://cookforfun.shawguides.com/ (ignore specific descriptions of cooking holidays on the main page and click on programs that sound interesting to get a link to the actual cooking school's site - some have single day classes.)

Please report back if you do one of these and let us know what you thought!

I highly recommend any of the cooking classes offered by the International
Kitchen. Last year I took a class in Paris taught by Paula Caillet and this year will be taking another class in
Paris with another instructor.

HTH

http://www.theinternationalkitchen.com/lesson.htm

RobinM-- I would highly recommend the tour group Savour of France--

http://www.villasandvoyages.com/savour/

they do tour of tuscany and are for real foodies- incorporating 3 star Michelin rest. and chefs and touring wineries--

We did it in Burgundy and they are NOW doing Tuscany!! Prices are the best out there for the value--

Include transportation, hotel,tx,scv, bkfst and some dinners and lunches===Travel is in a 14 pass ,mini van--so it is a VERY small wonderful group of people with a guide that speaks French and Italian and ENGLISH...

Absolutely one of the BEST vacations we ever went on.....

Do NOT email your request...CALL David direct-he will answer you-His number is on the website!!

You will LOVE it..the cooking classes are minimal at most with usually 1 full day of cooking at best- rest of it is wineries, touring, staying in Chateaus,or Villas, and eating at terrific restaurants...
