Hotel in PDC

We're going to Playa del Carmen for five nights in March and I can't decide from among three hotels - Blue Parrot, La Tortuga or Playa Maya. We want something with a central location, pool, beach access, plenty to do but not too noisy. Anyone have any recommendations?

Part of the Blue Parrot is closed but I'm not sure which part, La Tortuga has good reviews just be aware that it is not on the beach, Playa Maya is on the beach and also gets good reviews. Look at Riviera Del Sol also; 1/2 block from the beach and breakfast/chairs and palapa at Mamitas.

La Tortuga if you arent set on being on the beach. If you must be on the beach Playa Maya.

If you would like budget without being on the beach try Hotel Maya Bric for 45 usd a night with nice pool and AC. We just stayed their two weeks ago.

I have stayed at Playa Maya and Riviera Del Sol. Both would be places I would go back to if I needed a room. Riviera is at the north end which I prefer because of the quieter atmosphere, the beach is nice and the restaurants are good. But there are also great restaurants further into town. Usually I eat anywhere off 5th.

Another hotel option would be the Treetops, which is a smallish hotel a few hundered feet from the beach. Most of it's rooms face an inner jungle like courtyard so it's fairly quiet, even though it's 1/2 block from busy 5 ave.
Rooms are a little under $100 a night, and there is a small pool.
