In Orlando, Golf Like a Pro

January 7, 2008

Annika Academy, Annika Sorenson's golf and fitness school, opened for business in summer 2007 at the Ginn Reunion Resort & Club. The number one female tennis player in the world isn't merely content to brand her name on the instructional facility. She'll be making personal appearances at the school and has tapped her golf instructor to head up the golf portion and her personal trainer to run the fitness sides of the academy. Golf enthusiasts can sign up for intimate training (only 9 people per class), which includes both lessons on the links and an Annika-endorsed physical training session in the gym. What does it cost to train like a pro? Starter packages begin at $2,500, which includes two days/two nights, lessons, greens fees, breakfasts and dinners. The $12,000 package is good for 3 days/3 nights, lessons, greens fees, breakfasts and dinners, a "clinic" with the golf pro, and a 9-hole game with Annika. ---Melissa Klurman
