Fodor's Review:

Downtown, where most restaurants are much more casual, Arabesque is a common venue for business lunches, because the elegant mashrabiyya screens (traditional latticework in wood) ensure privacy and the service is suitably discreet. Enter through a hidden passage that doubles as an art gallery. The Egyptian-Middle Eastern food is heavy on grilled meats -- stick with local dishes like bamia (stewed okra), or, if you want to venture further afield, try Tournedos Arabesque (north African beef fillets).
