Conrad Cairo

At a Glance

    Pros

  • The staff are friendly
  • the hotel offers the occasional homey touch, such as the apples in the giant glass vase that are available at check-in
  • no-smoking rooms

    Cons

  • this is a big hotel and won't suit those who want a more personalized experience
  • three restaurants doesn't seem like much of a choice for such a large hotel
  • although all the rooms technically have Nile views, only the rooms in the front of the building on the high floors live up to the billing

Conrad Cairo Review

A rather boxy-looking building, the Conrad rather disappoints when compared to other Corniche hotels, but it is a comfortable place to retreat at the end of a long day. The lobby is a reassuring field of marble graced by palm trees, while the rooms are spacious and pleasant, albeit with a slightly generic international-chain feel. The 24-hour Felucca Café, with tables out on a terrace overlooking the Nile, is a great place to relax.
