Haifa and the Northern Coast Hotels

Options range from small inns to luxury hotels, though the selection and quality of accommodations doesn't equal that of, say, Tel Aviv. Gracious bed-and-breakfasts (known in Israel as zimmers) are tucked into coastal rural settlements, mostly north of Nahariya. The splendid spa hotel in the Carmel Forest near Haifa deserves its reputation. In some places, such as Zichron Ya'akov, pickings are slim; but because this region is so compact, you can cover many coastal sights from one base, such as Haifa.
