Montefiore Review

The side-street location smack in the center of town—shops and restaurants abound within yards of the front door—doesn't seem to trouble the hotel's serenity. The lobby is an aesthetic blend of rough limestone walls, parquet and flagstone floors, and faux-leather sofas. Renovations spiffed up the modestly sized rooms with flat-screen TVs and dark-wood furnishings. Off-white bedcovers and large mirrors enhance light and space in the rooms (those facing the street are larger; windows are double-glazed). After breakfast, the dining room is transformed into Angelica, the excellent fine-dining restaurant, with independent access from the street.
