Ramat Rachel Review

The relaxed, informal atmosphere is a big part of this hotel's appeal. Rooms in the older South Wing have stunning views of Bethlehem and the Judean Desert. Recent renovations have introduced light-colored wood furniture offset by colorful throw cushions and bedcovers. Long sofas hugging the rooms' picture windows can be folded out to sleep up to three kids. Updated bathrooms are very compact but well appointed. West Wing guest rooms, facing the pool, are decorated in tasteful aquamarines. With its fine pool (including a giant waterslide) and other sports facilities, all free to guests, Ramat Rachel feels like an isolated resort. Cheaper hostel rooms are also available.
