Mamilla Hotel Review

The latest addition to the luxury hotel scene, the Mamilla has a clever and soaring architectural design by Moshe Safdie. The restrained yet luxe style of interior designer Piero Lissoni makes this a sleek and comfortable haven. All rooms include wood floors, raw-metal headboards, and richly textured drapes, while the übercontemporary bathrooms boast deep rectangular bathtubs and clear walls that can frost over for privacy. The dining establishments—the Winery, the Mirror Bar, Mamilla Rooftop, and the Mamilla Café—are a draw for both guests and locals, offering posh surroundings as well as appealing menus. Be sure to try a "wine flight" with the head sommelier, and take a dip in the underused underground pool, tiled in navy blue mosaics. Don't skip the in-house breakfast, as Mamilla takes the Israeli morning repast of eggs, cheeses, and salads to a whole new level.
