Tel Aviv: Places to Explore

Center City

Think of downtown Tel Aviv as a cat's cradle of boulevards and side streets leading to all the city's great sights. These few square miles are the heart and soul of the city. Swirling around you might be surfers heading up from the beach, film crews shooting commercials, couples walking their dogs along leafy boulevards, and students stopping for sandwiches at newspaper kiosks that have been transformed into cafés. At Hayarkon Park, a welcome swath of green on the Yarkon River, families picnic not far from joggers and bikers on well-paved paths.
