Herbert Samuel

Herbert Samuel Review

Walking through the door of this understated but elegant dining room, you hear the energetic hum of good conversation. The upscale but very accessible menu has a strong Mediterranean influence and changes every season, but chestnut gnocchi and Jerusalem artichoke soup are always good picks. A glass-enclosed kitchen is on full view for those seated upstairs. If you're seeking a cool vibe, a seat downstairs, especially at the bar, is preferable. The extensive wine list is another plus.
