Planning Your Time
With two to four days, you can explore most of Tel Aviv and still have time for the beach. Although it's not a huge area to cover, see the city in geographical order. Start with old Jaffa in the south, and amble through the art galleries, flea market, and fishing port. Jaffa's a good choice in the evening for strolling, low-key restaurants, and wine bars. From here, it's a quick walk north to see Neveh Tzedek. Check out the well-restored buildings, and catch a performance at the Suzanne Dellal Centre at night. In the center of town, don't miss the Bauhaus buildings of the White City or the Nahalat Benyamin market (on Tuesday or Friday). With more time, explore the north, and see the Diaspora, the Palmach, and the Eretz Israel museums, as well as Hayarkon Park for boating or cycling. The Tel Aviv Port is a good place for trendy dining and nightlife.
