When to Go

Unlike other parts of the country, there is no best time of the year to tour the Upper Galilee and the Golan. The range of colors is wonderful in spring, when hillsides are covered with wildflowers. Summer brings families traveling with children, as well as music and culinary festivals; days can be hot, but the low humidity makes it manageable. Wine fans appreciate the area in autumn during harvest time at the vineyards. Nights can be cold year-round. In winter, more precipitation means gushing streams and gray skies.
