Palais Didi Review
Next to Bab Mansour and steps from the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, this stately 18th-century palace was restored by owner Ismaili Raouf as an homage to his grandfather, who was affectionately known as Didi. Arranged around a classical patio and fountain, the ground-floor suites are composed of a bedroom, drawing room, and handsome tiled bathroom. Upstairs are the seven rooms, some of them duplex, each decorated with different elements and styles including circular copper bathtubs and canopy beds. Breakfast is served around the fountain in the pleasant patio. The Royal Golf of Meknès club is next door, and the hotel can arrange excursions to ski at Michlifen or to visit the Roman ruins at Volubilis.
