The town of Tahannout is the capital of the Al Haouz province not too far outside Marrakesh. While most of the buildings on the main stretch of road here are rather uninteresting, there’s a weekly Tuesday souk and a Jewish cemetery to be explored. But what’s really interesting about Tahannout is the gorgeous surroundings; this is an area to explore, with something for all energy levels, and is relatively untouched by tourists so far.
