Don't let the name or mostly outside location fool you: this is one of the city's best restaurants, known for its huge portions, freshly prepared meals, and reasonable prices. The decor is chic and minimalist, but unpretentious and comfortable. Opt for a starter of prawn skewers in peanut dipping sauce or chicken teriyaki salad with a peanut dressing; then move on to chicken, prawn, and beef panfried noodles; a seared, marinated sesame fillet of beef; or any of the excellent Thai-style curries. Homemade ice cream comes in flavors like ginger, coconut, and honey cashew. It doesn't take reservations, so go early, especially on weekend nights.
