Sammy Marks Museum

Sammy Marks Museum Review

About 23 km (14 mi) east of Pretoria, this furnished, 48-room Victorian mansion, in a mixture of grand styles, and its outbuildings, surrounded by gardens, were built in 1884 for mining and industrial magnate Sammy Marks. Guided tours take place every 90 minutes on weekdays; there are ghost tours at night. A restaurant is on-site, and you can picnic on the grounds.
