Pockets of indigenous bush and tracts of fynbos alternate with old farmland on this fun property about 15 minutes outside Plett. It's not Mpumalanga—or even the Karoo or Eastern Cape—but it's a great place to see a variety of game, including buffalo and rhino. In this warm, friendly place, evening meals are taken around an enormous table, and outrageous stories are told. Try the game walk or even a multiday hike into the hills. Even little ones can do short game walks near the lodge at this child-friendly establishment.
