Tsala Treetop Lodge Review

Built on the same property as Hunter's, and also run by the Hunter family, this lodge combines the best of sleek design with spectacular natural surroundings. Fabulous glass, stone, metal, and wood chalets are built on stilts overlooking a steep forested gorge and, in some cases, extending into the forest canopy. Suites have plunge pools with fantastic views, verandas, and fireplaces, and the unusual decor includes specially manufactured oval baths, hand-beaten brass plumbing fittings, and loads of glass. There are also beautiful African antiques in the reception areas. Suites are connected by raised timber walkways. The restaurant is open to nonguests, and there's the further option of dining at Zinzi's ($$), a reasonably priced and gorgeous restaurant on the same property.
