Yuejiang Lou Tower

Yuejiang Lou Tower Review

This massive tower complex, built in the new millennium in Ming Dynasty style, looks out over a broad sweep of the Yangtze River. The founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty wrote a poem describing his plans to have a tower built here where he could view the river. Other imperial business got in the way, and for several centuries the building remained on paper. The grand tower and its surrounding buildings were built in 2001 in a historically accurate style, but it somehow seems too sterile.
